Mirek’s Visions of Meher Baba’s Manifestation
Mirek Popowicz was a mystic, poet, and Baba lover who passed away in November 2011 at the age of 59. Two remarkable books by Mirek have been published: Songs Grown from Sand and Stones (Companion Books, 1994) and In the Night Sky of My Soul (Alphabet Board, 2012). They are not just poems, but running conversations with his Beloved, Meher Baba.
After I heard from a friend about Mirek’s visions of Meher Baba’s Manifestation, I began a correspondence with him in 2011 because I was exploring the Manifestation as subject matter for a screenplay. Over the next few months, right up until he had the first of four brain hemorrhages that eventually took his life, Mirek wrote me a total of six handwritten letters, in which he provided details about his visions and insights on the Manifestation, as well as other esoteric subjects. He also sent me many thought-provoking text messages, which I then transcribed.

We are presenting Mirek’s visions on this website as one person’s experiences, just as we posted Jim Auster’s own dramatic vision about the Manifestation. Posting these pages does not imply that these visions are being endorsed as the “correct” interpretation of Baba’s predictions or statements. Meher Baba’s Manifestation is a mystery for all of us to ponder. We would like to receive and share other people’s views as well.
